On July 8, the “23rd China Recruitment & Hiring Exhibition” hosted by Human Resource Excellence Center (HREC) was held in Shanghai, The event focused on the concerns that recruiters and employers are facing, and is led by veteran recruitment experts who integrated their forward-looking strategies and practice in useful, practical sharing sessions.

As one of the key exhibitors at the show, Central Business Information Limited (CBI) had set up a pre-employment background screening service area at the venue. Professional consultants of the company had meaningful interactions with the 500+ elites from the human resources industry, as social distancing and hygiene measures were observed.

Businesses are facing major challenges in the recruitment progress, affected by the general environment this year. However, some of them had taken advantage of agile recruitment strategies and talent forecasting to seize first-mover opportunities on the market. According to the statistics from CBI, there is a significant upward trend in the faith and reliance on conducting background checks as a recruitment strategy this year. This shows that many businesses see the significance of mitigating recruitment risks through background checks, to continuously improve recruitment efficiency and effectiveness, which also helps businesses in reshaping their recruitment value.

Attendees had many questions on how to conduct background checks properly in the current pandemic and environment, and professional consultants from CBI shared their insights through detailed responses: To meet social distancing contactless measures today, the company has to break the conventions and open up channels for online authorisation. Background checks for candidates are conducted through the internet and other effective compliance channels, eliminating the tediousness for businesses to conduct background checks independently.

During the warm-up round of this exhibition, CBI provided professional promotional materials and gifts to the attendees on-site. The booth was a good communication service platform for the guests present, as it empowers human resources personnel from businesses to effectively screen candidates and set a solid foundation for the corporate recruitment process, while also promoting the establishment of a social occupational credit system.

With more than 20 years of experience in the field of background checks, CBI has grown by leaps and bounds. It has carved a unique space on the market to become the pioneer of the challenging industry through constant innovation.

Along with the changing social and economic situation, and the waves of digitalisation, the process of corporate recruitment has constantly changed with the times. Background checking will become one of the important checkpoints for businesses as they select the best candidates. In the future, CBI will continue leading the innovation in the industry, realise its vision of efficient and intelligent background checking, and move forward with its partners.
